“Transformer” Guangong turned up in China

World Guangong Culture Net News: in the recent graduation exposition of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, a Guangong figure art works made by old Jiefang automobile drew public attention. This art works was named as Jiefang, just like transformer in the movie, so getting the name “Guangong-figure transformer”. With a height of 9.7 meters, weight of 4 tons, investment of nearly 300 thousand Yuan, the works drew much attention in the exposition.

The creator Bi Heng is 2010 graduate of Department of Sculpture of Central Academy of Fine Arts. This is one of works he conceived from winter of 2006. Under the support of the classmates and families, he overcame numerous difficulties, and finally completed the works at the end of May before graduation works exposition of the academy.
Bi Heng said, “The old Jiefang truck is very beautiful in my eyes, because it experienced several tens of years when new China carried through self-improvement, and represents the most simple and common workers in China; while Guan Yu is a Chinese culture and morality idol, he is greater than Optimus Prime.”
