Los Angeles, U.S.A: the trendsetter Guo Xiaoqing visited the talented persons from thousand miles away
www.guangong.hk news: On May 28, the vice-chairman of the Chaozhou Guild Hall in Southern California of U.S.A, Guo Xiaoqing went to Wuhan in China for visiting the chairman of United Front Work Department Overseas Center of Hubei Provincial Committee and the vice-chairman of the Hong Kong World Guan Gong Culture Promotion Association, Zhu Zhengming. The trip was to visit and consult for the rebuilding of the L.A. Guan Gong Temple in U.S.A.
Hearing the news that Guo Xiaoqing crossed over the ocean and came to River Town for spreading the Guan Gong culture，Zhu Zhengming was very touched. And he gave the large scale catalogue of The World Guan Di to vice-chairman Guo and introduced him the layout of the Guan Gong Temple overseas and at home, the offerings of the Guan Di icons and the choices of the inscribed boards and couplets.
According to Mr. Guo, on March 28 this year, a rebuilt ceremony was held in the L.A. Guan Gong Temple and Chaozhou Guild Hall in Southern California. The consul-general of the Chinese Consulate at Los Angeles, Qiu Shaofang attended the ceremony and expressed the admiration for the Chaozhou overseas Chinese who worked hard and succeeded in their careers. He spoke highly of the achievements which L.A. overseas Chinese made in inheriting the excellent Chinese culture. He hoped the completion of the new Guan Gong Temple would add new glories for the L.A. Chinatown.
The conversation crossing the oceans made the two hard to leave. Before leaving, Guo Xiaoqing said that at the time of the L.A. Guan Gong Temple completing and consecrating in 2014, he sincerely invited Mr. Zhu to attend the ceremony in L.A. and hold a lecture of the “World Guan Gong Culture” for overseas Chinese. And he also gave the flag of the Chaozhou Guild Hall in Southern California to Mr. Zhu as a gift.
