Guo Junping Invites the Famous Experts and Schoars Across the Country to Mastermind for the Tourist Development of Dangyang Guangong Culture
The news that “Guangong Belief” was selected in the state-level intangible cultural heritage list spreads to Yichang city which lies at the Yangtze Three Gorges. Guo Junping, the member of Yichang Municipal Standing Committee and the director of Yichang United Front Work Department, Long Ping Guo is especially excited. She says, “When I was young, I worshiped Guangong very much. I admire Guangong for his virtues of ‘loyalty, righteousness, benevolence, bravery, faith’. Guangong culture transcends national boundaries as well as nations and it’s like a shining name card of traditional Chinese culture. We shall have the aid of our Guan Gong --the brand of traditional virtues of Chinese nation to cohere the patriotic complex of the Chinese at home and abroad and revitalize the local cultural tourism.”
In early July, Guo Junping arranged the Dangyang city government to invite National Guangong cultural experts and scholars. They gathered in Dangyang to mastermind for revitalizing Guangong Cultural Tourism in Dangyang. The invited people such as the painter Wang Guoxin, the researcher Hu Xiaowei, the cultural scholar Li Hanqiu, the photographer Zhu Zhengming and other experts and Wei Long from Yuncheng, Shanxi province ; Guo Tingcai from Luoyang, Henan Province,; Zhang Yi from Shenzhen, ; Liu Jianshe from Wuhan and other experts, scholars and entrepreneurs, offered many precious and pertinent advice on how to develop Guangong Tourism in Dangyang.
