The World Guan Clan Connections Customs Conference Was Held Grandly in Putian City, Fujian Province
On the morning of October 18, 2008, the grand opening ceremony of the world Guan Clan Connections Customs Conference was held in the Oriental International Hotel at Putian City, Fujian Province. More than 500 Guan clan's representatives and specially-invited honorary guests from China mainland’s provinces and SAR as well as 26 countries and regions such as China Hong Kong, China Macao and Taiwan, the United States, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam and so on gathered together happily.
KMT Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung and the KMT vice-chairman Guan Zhong respectively inscribed the conference as well as the proceedings of the conference , with the Chinese characters “Dun Qin Mu ZU”（which means friendly and harmonious clan relations）and “Zhong Yi Chuan Cheng” (which means spread and heritage of loyalty and righteousness)
World Guan Clan Association (QUANS WORLD FEDERATION) is a world-wide Guan clan friendship connection organization. The tenet of establishing the Association is to contact the clan friendship, inherit the spirit of loyalty and righteousness from Guan Gong, follow the ancestors’ instructions, unite sincerely and seek common benefits. Founded in Hong Kong in 1984, it has lasted 24 years and is held every three years. Its headquarter is set up in San Francisco, the United States.
