Alp Countries: Chinese Guangong Culture in Bhutan and Nepal

●The Chinatown in Nepal is full of Chinese flavors.
In Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, a narrow and crowded Chinatown is now more lively, with various Chinese signs on both sides of the street, full of Chinese restaurants, Buddha statue shops, Thangka shops, daily necessities shops, and there are several three-star hotels run by the Chinese. Zhu Zhengming walked into a Chinese restaurant with huge paintings on the wall of the hall, named Chinese Flavor. ●The story of Kathmandu youth HEMLAL TAMANG
Kathmandu youthHEMLAL TAMANG, whose Chinese name is Da Meng, guided Zhu Zhengming to investigate Kathmandu, and he can speak fluently mandarin, looking like handsome. Zhu Zhengming asked, “Which province of China are you from?” His answer was surprising: “My family are all Nepalese for generations!”
Da Meng was born in 1990 in RAMECHHAP. This is the only way from Kathmandu to the Mount Everest Base Camp, more than 160 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Due to the bumpy road, it takes 4 and a half hours to arrive there. In the Chinese recitation competition hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Da Meng won the first place after four intense rounds of competition, and the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal handed out trophies and prizes to Da Meng.
Da Meng, a Nepalese youth, said he also knew that Guangong has the name of Guan Emperor, who is a great hero in China.
●The cultural cherub Qi Qi presents Guangong to some little monks
On April 22nd, at Huayan Temple in Kathmandu, the 6-year-old Chinese girl gave a statue of Guangong to the younger monks of Huayan Temple. She also drew interesting pictures for them in person and gave them building blocks and chocolates brought from China as gifts. Known as the Cherub of Chinese Culture, Qi Qi lives at the foot of Lushan Mountain, and influenced by the academic atmosphere of her family, she entered the Jiujiang State Academy at the age of two and a half, and has been able to recite classics such as The Great Learning, Taoism and Three Character Primer, also fond of traditional characters. Qi Qi has visited the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Nepal, Bhutan and other countries with his parents and grandfather.

●The affection of Overseas Chinese Association in Pokhara
Pokhara is the second largest tourist city in Nepal, known as “Second Switzerland in South Asia”.
In Pokhara, Zhu Zhengming was warmly welcomed by Zhan Jiangsong, the president of the Overseas Chinese Association. Zhan Jiangsong and Zhang Bo, the General Manager of Sino-Nepal Cultural Exchange Co., Ltd., led Zhu Zhengming to visit several Chinese restaurants and shops along the banks of Fewa Lake. The Orchid Hotel and Beijing Impression Hall along the bank of Fewa Lake, both enshrined Guangong, as well as the lobby of the Master Zhan Restaurant opened by President Zhan Jiangsong.

Zhu Zhengming and his companions flew to Bhutan and were deeply infected by the simple folk customs in the southern slope of the Himalayas. They climbed the Dochula Pass and looked at the Himalayas in the distance; they came to Punakha Dzong to visit the “Potala Palace” of Bhutan; they were invited to enter the Nepalese Royal Palace and presented the Tibetan version of Walking Across the World to Visit Guangong to the special assistant to the National Preceptor, Khenpo Ugyen tenzin drukdra, and told the Chinese Guangong culture at the other side of Himalayas and the story of the reconstruction of Guangong Temple in Mount Everest, the highest place of the world, to Khenpo Ugyen tenzin drukdra, together with Mr. Chen Shaogong, president of the American Confucian Chamber of Commerce and patriotic overseas Chinese leader. Khenpo Ugyen tenzin drukdra said, “Guangong is so excellent as the great god of multiple nationalities of China!”
