Towering Zhongtiao Mountain Guandi Walking on Top of Cloud

World Guangong Culture Net News : Zhongtiao Mountain in Yuncheng of Shanxi is Guandi’s hometown. Guandi ikon with a height of 80 meters stands at the peak of Zhongtiao Mountain. As if Guan Yu is walking on the top of cloud, it is especially spectacular.

The Guandi Ikon Scenic Spot is located at the foot of South Mountain in Changping village of Xiezhou town, about 10 kilometers distant from the city area of Yuncheng. This Guandi ikon is the highest ikon in the world with a height of 80 meters. The copper body is 61 meters in height, implying Guangong living for 61 years; the base is 19 meters in height, implying Guangong getting married and starting his career in his 19 years; the ikon cast work was started from January of 2007, using 500 tons of copper and 2000 tons of iron, spending 0.2 billion Yuan invested by Tianrui Group which is one of top 500 enterprises of China.

The Celebration Ceremony for Guandi Ikon Completion was held grandly in Guandi’s home village Yuncheng city on September 13. Many Guandi followers in the world came in a continuous stream, to open light for Guandi ikon and thousands of micro Guandi ikons.

Yuncheng has long history and rich humanistic and natural resources. Now, the Guandi Temple, Guanque Tower, five old peaks, salt lake, Pujiu Temple, Shun king Tomb and Li’s Grand Courtyard of Yuncheng have great reputation inside and outside the province; seeking root tourism, ecological leisure tourism and historical culture tourism have become the specialties of Yuncheng tourism.
