Zhang Delin:Spreading the Guangong Culture in the Nice Landscape of Taiwan
Zhang Delin , the President of Wen-Wu Temple in Riyuetan of Taiwan , he is a famous person on Guangong Culture Circles across the Strait , and you can meet him with smile in each Autumn . Several years ago , we visited the Riyuetan , Mr Zhang warmly welc a me us and took us sightseeing the nice landscape of Riyuetan . There is a small island in Riyuetan , and there is a sightseeing pavilion on the island , the Old Man of the Moon is in the middle of pavilion , it is famous as the embodiment of Guan Yu . We took the picture with Mr. Zhang there , and it stands for connecting us with Taiwan Riyuetan together . On the pleasure-boat , Mr. Zhang told us the history of Wen-Wu Temple : in the Qing Dynasty , Guan Yu and Confucius worshipped here . In 1932 , setting up the dam in the Riyuetan , the two temples were drowned , and the local people moved away . In 1934 , we found this address , combination the two temples into one , which is the Wen-Wu Temple today . In that evening , we h ad dinner with Mr. Zhang at the Saint Building in front of Wen-Wu Temple . We ha d many the common topics , and we talk ed about the Guangong Culture . Mr. Zhang said that he had turned on all the light in the Wen-Wu Temple at that night , so we got the most beautiful night landscape of Wen-Wu Temple . On the September 21, 1999 , the Riyuetan suffered from the earthquake , this temple was broken . In order to rebuild this temple , the Taiwan Communication Department display s the Riyuetan as “the State Class Landscape Special Area” , so , the rebuilding work is finished now , which attract s many tourists from home and abroad .
